Do you feel overwhelmed by how much stuff you have?
Are you looking for motivation to start purging?
Not sure where or how to start?
If you answered YES to any of those questions, then this challenge is for you!
Join me in the 46 Day Declutter Challenge.
Why 46 days?
Because, that is exactly how long Lent is.
If you are Christian and celebrate Lent you may be accustomed to giving something up for Lent (social media, TV, chocolate, soda, etc.). Some years for Lent I have chosen to do an action instead of giving something up such as focusing on prayer, doing daily biblical readings, or one year I made my way through “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren.
This year I’m inviting you to join me for the 46 days of Lent to declutter our homes and our lives. I guarantee you that the less clutter you have in your home and your life the more focused you can be on a relationship with God, which makes this a great Lenten activity.
Even if you don’t celebrate Lent you can still join me on this journey, because everyone can benefit from decluttering.
The rules for this challenge are simple:
- It will last 46 days (March 1-April 15)
- You will spend 10 minutes every day decluttering
- You must get rid of (sell, donate, throw away) 10 items every day
This means that at the end of 46 days you will have spent 460 minutes (7 hours and 40 minutes) decluttering and removed 460 items from your home.
Can you find 10 minutes a day to work on decluttering your life and home?
You will be amazed at what 10 minutes a day can do.
Share this challenge with your friends and family. The more people we have the more fun and motivating it will be. Be sure to like https://www.facebook.com/minuteswithmeg/ to follow updates on this challenge.
